How we use photographs

Uploaded photographs are used solely to create the requested memorial.

• Improving image quality.
• Creating a digital memorial card.
• Producing a memorial video.
• Preparing digital funeral notices.
• Creating anniversary and remembrance tributes.
• Generating customer-requested previews.

Photographs are never used for advertising without explicit consent.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Self services and ordinary graphic and video work do not use Artificial Intelligence. Photograph enhancement, subject cut-out, background removal or replacement, clothing changes, graphic composition, visual effects and video editing are carried out with graphic and technical tools without AI processing.

Artificial Intelligence is used exclusively in the Assisted Service when the customer requests a change to the expression of the person depicted and when the photograph is technically suitable. In these cases, the work starts from the original photograph and the result is reviewed and refined by an operator.

UltimoSaluto® does not use customer photographs to train or retrain its own Artificial Intelligence models.

File retention

Photographs and files are retained only for the time needed to provide the requested service.

• Self-service process.
• Assisted service.
• Optional retention requested by the customer.

Files are deleted at the end of the applicable period unless legal obligations or specific customer requests require otherwise.

Who can access the content

Photographs may be accessed only by:

• Systems required to process the service.
• Authorised personnel where needed for the Assisted Service.
• The customer through the tools provided.

No other party may access the content without authorisation.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect photographs and personal data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse.

Your rights

You may request at any time:

• Access to your data.
• Correction of inaccurate information.
• Deletion where permitted by law.
• Restriction of processing.
• Objection to processing.
• Data portability where applicable.
